How does a character in your book use the Habit of Mind "Listening with Understanding and Empathy"? Give examples from the book.
my character uses persisting when he never gives up. that is a good tactic. i use persisting a lot. jack uses it a lot to. not so much from his crew.

The Coach used the"Habit of Mind" Listening with Understanding and Empathy" by listening what the team had to say. He let them pick their own name and listened to their complaints. He agreed and disagreed with them. He like their ideas for the most part.
my character uses listening with understanding and empathy because every tim someone gets heart she cares for them and she all so listen really well to people when they have a problem or something.

Sylvester listen to his mom, when she was making a decision about the contract. Sylvester listens to George Baruth, making a decision about the contract. George also tells Sylvester don't make a hog of yourself when it comes to dessert. George also advises Sylvester don't get a swell head about baseball. Sylvester uses understanding through listening and empathy.

ReplyDeleteAll of Chris's friends used listening and understanding with empathy when they apologized to him after he told the head teacher he wanted to go interrogate the prisoner alone. Chris's friends were mad at him because they wanted to come interrogate the prisoner. They Showed empathy because they knew the prisoner was working with the boy who Chis killed.
How does a character in your book use the Habit of Mind "Listening with Understanding and Empathy"? Give examples from the book. Maggie used understand and using empathy when the puppies got sick. How she used that habit of mind was figuring out how to help the puppies and get them better. Also she wants to rescue all of the puppies there. Maggie hopes the puppies will get better. I think they can help the pups.

Jason use understanding with empathy when he gave up his mission . He was going to a museum to Look for a map with Leo and Frank. Anna Beth Piper and Hazel we're being attacked by a Romans . They laughed and Frank turned into a giant Eagle. When they got on the ship coach started firing at the Eagles.

How does a character in your book use the Habit of Mind "Listening with Understanding and Empathy"? Give examples from the book.
Harry always uses the habits of mind but for this example it's going to have to go back to the very beginning of the story. Harry Potter uses the habit of mind listening with understanding and empathy when he found out his parents were killed by Voldemort. Harry did not expect this but he did except the outcome and he used the habit of mind thinking flexibly. Harry also uses the habit of mind listening with understanding and empathy when he decides to go to Hogwarts. I think Harry could add a habit of mind in the future.

I started on page 73. I ended on page 84.
If I had to choose an example from my book when Katniss used Listening with Understanding and Empathy, I would choose when Katniss has helped Peeta. This example is from Catching Fire because there are no examples so far in Mockingjay. Katniss has dragged Peeta to get medicine during the games. Katniss has also kissed Peeta a number of times. Katniss has shown lots of Listening with Understanding and Empathy to Peeta.

In my book, everyone understands each other. They listen to one another. They have empathy. Everyone is nice. Everyone is caring except the bad guys. The Thea Sisters use listening with understanding and empathy all the time.
Well my character Kenna Kenna uses empathy because when someone gets hurt she asked if they are ok. Also she uses listening with understanding because when someone says something she understanding what they say.

In my book Nate saves two balls in soccer, but got hit in the face with one. Nate keeps getting hit with the balls. Nate ends up with only a black eye. Artur joins the team. Nate gets rally mad. He always steels Nate's thunder.

ReplyDeleteJack snuck up to steal Dad's wallet. Sandy and Jack need money to buy a boat. Sandy just sits there and looks at the tv while Jack tries get his attention. Dad chases Jack and tries to get his wallet back. Dad falls over the chairs and hurts his leg he is on the floor in pain.
