Raina was so happy to be home because she was gone for two weeks. She wanted to see her home again. Her friend was happy to see her back in town. She loves being with her family all the time. Her family was glad that they are back in their own home. The reason we do conference we share with our parents what we did this year so far. Yes, I work with Daisy and Gray on my conference they are really a big help.

If I had to explain what conferences are about to Katniss, I would first tell her that they are to show your parents the work you have done this semester. You make a PowerPoint and show them your ePortfolio. I would tell her about student led conferences, which is where the student plans for the conference and presents the conference, not the teacher. It can be hard to plan for a conference, it takes a few weeks. I worked with Katie when I was practicing my conference lines.

This is our report cards that is why we do it. Also to show what we did this year. Also what we need to work on. It was hard but we persisted. We went in advisory the whole day sometimes.

The one bad thing about student lead conferences is that you Have to prepare. But its quite fun. The process is first we get all the work that we have done over the year and put it in our E portfolio then we drag it onto our blog. Our parents will see the blog at the conference. I wish you could be at my conference Greg.

Thea, we have conferences instead of report cards. The conferences are led my the students. There is one week of preparation. We work with the other students to make shore that are presentations are very good.

ReplyDeleteConferences are about telling a group of people about a certain thing or person. The student leads the conference because the teachers want them to tell there parents how they feel about the school they are in. The process was answering some questions about what you think about the school and staff members. I did not work with anyone else during my work.

It is were you tell what you have been learning. We don't use grades so we use conferences. It takes a lot of practice. You have to make sure everything works on your slides. I used some help from teachers.

Its were you make notes and goals of what you learned over the year. you then make a power point that helps your parents. also helps them understand what you have learned. Its hard but you get the hang of it when you practice. Then when you finish you feel awesome.

Conferences are where we reflect on our year. We talk about our struggles and our strengths. We talk about what we accomplished and what we want to accomplish next year. Then we present to our parents.
We did conferences this week. Confrences are all about talking to our parents and teachers about our year. We do student led conferences here because then we know what we need to do and what we have accomplished this year. To prepare for the conference we had to do a lot of work!! I worked with the teachers and friends to practice and make sure everything was ok.
